I've spent the last 24 hours contacting potential partners. I'm really close to securing several donations and am really excited about it!
I've also contacted several radio stations, television stations, newspapers, in hopes of some help getting some media help.
What I need most right now is help getting this project out to the public, specifically this blog. If you are reading this, please take a minute and forward this on to a friend.
Thanks everyone :)

12 Days of Giving: The Idea
The concept of "12 Days of Giving" is to help those in need around our community. I know that times are tough for everyone, but I thought that maybe if we all work together, we could really make an impact on our community this season.
Through "12 Days of Giving," my goal is take part in 12 days of giving (of course!) starting December 14th and ending on Christmas Day, December 25th. In order to achieve this somewhat ambitious goal, I will be calling upon members of the community, for help in the form of donations, gift certificates, anything, that will help.
I have started this blog as an incentive for helping -- not that it is by any means necessary, but it is my hope that I can use this blog as a way to publicly thank those that are kind enough to help with this intiative. That being said, I will be using this blog as a way to advertise companies and individuals that donate, whether it is a product, service, or just their time. I think it is important that these people see just how grateful our community is for people that are willing to go above and beyond to help their neighbors. In order to get the word out about this project, I will be enlisting the help of our local media outlets.
If you feel that you can help in any way possible, please email me at 12daysofgiving@gmail.com
As specific community projects are chosen, I will be updating this blog, so please check back daily.
Thank you in advance -- I am looking forward to this project and I hope you all are too!
